# Upgrade System

## Content purpose

To gain an upper hand in GP leaderboard competition, one must have items with higher GP Multiplier. Upgrading items is the way to do just that.

## How to access

***

You can upgrade your items by accessing item upgrade menu with 'U' or clicking the purple button on the top right corner of your screen.

## Item enhancement

Enhancing an item progresses the enhancement level & increases the GP Multiplier stat. You can enhance up to the maximum enhancement level of the current item grade.

## Item merge

To merge items, you need to select 3 items of the same item type with equal item grade all maxed out on enhancement level. Merging will consume the 3 items and produce 1 item of the same item type with item grade advancement. &#x20;

> **Items with reduced durability need to be fully repaired to be viable for selection.**&#x20;

## Restrictions

* You cannot use the Item Upgrade feature while attempting to match for a game. Please use the item upgrade feature when you are not in the matchmaking process.
